What is a Glazier?

Glazier /n/
A glazier is a skilled tradesperson who installs, fits, replaces, and repairs glass in buildings and other structures.

Projects may include:

  • Window repair and replacement
  • Custom shower enclosures
  • Mirrors
  • Commercial glass installations
  • Specialty and custom glass projects

This role combines craftsmanship, technical skill, and hands-on problem solving.

Job Description

The Glazier / Fabricator position includes a combination of shop fabrication work and on-site installation projects throughout the Gunnison Valley.

Shop / Fabrication Work
Some days are spent working in our Gunnison shop preparing materials and fabricating glass products for upcoming installations.
Tasks may include:
  • Measuring and cutting glass to precise specifications
  • Preparing mirrors, shower panels, and insulated glass units
  • Assembling hardware and installation components
  • Assisting with custom glass orders and specialty projects
  • Organizing materials and maintaining tools and equipment
This work requires accuracy, attention to detail, and pride in craftsmanship.
 
Field / Installation Work
Other days are spent working at homes and businesses throughout the valley installing or repairing glass products.
Projects may include:
  • Window glass repair and replacement
  • Installation of custom shower enclosures
  • Mirror installation
  • Specialty glass installations
  • Transporting and handling glass safely on job sites
Team members work together to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Schedule & Benefits

Our team operates on a four-day work week:

Schedule
Monday – Thursday
8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Three-day weekends allow time to enjoy the outdoors and mountain lifestyle.

Experience

There is much to learn in this trade, and all training takes place on the job. No prior glazing experience is required.

We are primarily looking for someone with:

  • Honest character
  • Reliability
  • A willingness to learn

Helpful but not required:

  • Construction experience
  • Familiarity with basic tools
  • Mechanical aptitude

Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Be able to pass a background check
